We did not get a lot around this island. We concentrate between Papeete and Taina Marina.

It’s a good place to shop and find things you don’t find on other islands.

The marina of Papeete is by the city center. The marina Taina at a calmer part, close to supermarkets and there is regular busses bringing to Papeete.

Wifi in Papeete: we found a good wifi at yo&me frozen yogurt & coffee on the waterfront (Galerie Fare Tony).

Marina Taina: the marina is well situated. It has a laundry, shipshandler, diveshop and restaurants. It has anchorages areas not far away.

A small 5-10 minutes’ walk on the left (from the marina) brings you to a big Carrefour supermarket and shopping center. It has a good wifi by the “côté jardin” coffee inside the shopping center.

A 5 minutes’ walk on the right (from the marina) brings you to a good supermarket, which is sometimes cheaper than Carrefour. They have also local fruits and veggies. It has another shop (fuel station) and a McDonalds.

Fa’aa: north of the Intercontinental Hotel (between Taina Marina & Airport), is a bay where local boats anchor. The docks are private, so ask for your dinghy. We usually was brought and picked up there, so we didn’t left the dinghy.
Close to this bay you have a Mr.Bricolage market, a Supermarket, a big pharmacy and several other interesting shops. Have a look at the “Polynesia Trading” shop, which have some food in big quantities.
The bus between Taina Marina and Papeete also stops there.
